The Bauer Vapor Hyperlite goalie set marks a significant leap in weight reduction for Bauer's high-end equipment. The Hyperlite series, succeeding the successful 2X Pro line, prioritizes lightweight construction without sacrificing performance. It emphasizes mobility over pure bulk, a trend that continues in its current offerings. While the Hyperlite series was top-of-the-line at its release, Bauer has since introduced the Hyperlite 2 and Ultrasonic line, which currently sit as their flagship goalie equipment.
Just like with the Ultrasonic, how it has an integrated knee block to the core (which looks like a book and is attached to the inside of the pad), they made the same thing for the Hyperlite, but a little bit softer and a little bit more forgiving, this design is known as the Vapor Stabiliflex. The glove and blocker are also incredibly light, well broken in, and durable. Many professional players jumped into the Ultrasonic, but if they felt it was too stiff, they switched to a Hyperlite.
