NOTE: DeMarini originally released the DKL13 bat in 2013 for use in youth recreational baseball. The DKL13 model was the company’s first single-wall aluminum manufactured bat. The single-wall aluminum alloy construction transfers energy on contact and provides batters with a stiff but lightweight/balanced feel without contact reverberations often associated with double-wall alloy bats. Following the 2018 Little League bat certification rule change, the DKL13 bat gained popularity in recreational slow-pitch softball leagues primarily for its outstanding durability, contact/power transfer, and lightweight/balanced feel.
