The 2023 Kastle PX 81 is a sophisticated frontside specialist that brings the legendary Austrian engineering of the MX series into a more accessible and versatile package. Designed for the skier who values precision on the corduroy but wants a more forgiving flex for all-day endurance, the PX 81 features a carbon-reinforced sandwich sidewall construction. The signature Hollowtech 3.0 in the shovel drastically reduces swing weight and chatter, while the poplar and beech wood core provides a damp, high-quality feel that Kastle is famous for. At 81mm underfoot, it offers a wider platform than a traditional racing ski, making it much more comfortable when the afternoon groomers start to get bumped out or soft. Condition: Top Sheet Condition 8.0 This top sheet condition may have moderate to heavy amounts of scratching to the surface of the tip and tails from ski usage. These top sheets may have one to five chips that do not compromise the integrity of the ski’s top sheet. Base Condition: 8.0 This base condition may have lots of minor scratches or scuffs. They may have some substantial scratching or scrape that may need P-TEX to be fully repaired along with a tune; however, are still ready to use with no base welds needed. These may show signs of having a major P-TEX or base weld repair but these repairs are in good shape and ready to use. These skis have a fresh coat of wax on them and are ready to hit the slope.
