Skied only 8 days in Chile in August. Best boot I’ve ever skied. The lower Boa is game changer for my high arches. Also have buckles up top allows for independent tightness of the ankle and calf. I have Zipfit liners, so the 3D Synapse Pro LF (Liquid Fit) liner is unused and can be injected with the gel to get custom fit (see tech specs below). Boot caps ($53) added for warmer toes. Also extra canting rings (pictured) purchased from head to align cuff. I tried backcountry touring while there and decided to get my on touring setup including a lower Boa MV touring hybrid boot. Specs: Flex Index: 120 stock. It features an adjustable rear spine system (Flex Tuning) allowing a bootfitter to increase or decrease stiffness by managing the spine tension screw. Last Width: 100 mm Mid-Volume (MV) reference at size 26.5. Stance Geometry: Built with a 12° Forward Lean and a 4° Ramp Angle. Shell Construction: Bi-injected Polyurethane (PU) frame. It utilizes Form Fit plastic engineered specifically to retain customized punches and heat molds more securely than previous generations. Lower Closure: Integrated BOA Fit System running a low-friction continuous cable path across an angled instep overlap. Upper Closure: Two micro-adjustable aluminum cuff buckles paired with a Supermacro ratchet on the top buckle for quick calf expansion, backed by a 45mm Velcro Power Strap. Sole System: GripWalk (GW) outsoles complying with ISO 23223 standards. Liner: 3D Synapse Pro LF (Liquid Fit) Inner Boot.Core Material: Dual-Density Synapse foam featuring anatomically pre-molded asymmetrical ankle pockets designed to grip the malleolus bones immediately out of the box.Tongue Design: A redesigned, higher-stiffness Dual-Density tongue featuring integrated reinforcing plastics to handle high-leverage driving forces and mitigate shin pressure from the BOA cable leverage.Liquid Fit Integration: Features dedicated left and right injection ports flanking the ankle/heel pocket. This allows a bootfitter to inject a customized paraffin-based liquid gel to eliminate heel lift without permanently crushing the liner foam.Thermal Management: The fabric lining features Graphene Thermocomfort matrix weaving. Graphene's high thermal conductivity captures and redistributes ambient foot heat to regulate internal temperatures evenly. Toe Box: Engineered with a flexible, expanding neoprene toe padding block that contours directly over the forefoot over time without constricting circulation.
