In the sternum and spine, D3O partners with Vent-Tech construction for added airflow, and a floating sternum with spine hybrid shields to provide protection in these areas for impact absorption no matter how you move on the ice. The Tacks AS-V Pro shoulder pads feature a Flexmotion base jacket with an all-new anatomical shield design construction, preventing the pads from shifting so the protection stays close to the body without sacrificing mobility. With an adjustable strap system, you can also ensure that you’re getting a personalized fit. This feature is important because the right fit is crucial to your game. If your equipment doesn’t fit properly, the protective features won’t work as intended, creating a higher risk for injury. For torso protection, CCM uses molded HD foam. This pro-level foam provides more coverage and enhanced protection to the kidneys. For bicep coverage, the AS-V Pro includes injected plastic guards with 1” height adjustment to bridge the gap between your shoulder pads and elbow pads for maximum coverage. For added protection throughout these shoulder pads, CCM uses their breathable and adjustable extra belly and lower back pad. For comfort, CCM uses a sublimated liner with dual layer stretch panels, designed for maximum air flow and mobility.
