Accuracy/Control

Forgiveness

Distance

Launched in 2004, the Ping G2 Driver revolutionized the sport with its massive, confidence-inspiring 460cc head size, one of the first commercially successful drivers to do so. This innovation, coupled with internal weighting for a lower center of gravity and more distance, made the G2 Driver immensely forgiving on off-center hits. The G2's focus on forgiveness and performance gains over previous drivers, along with its success on professional tours, propelled it to become one of the most popular golf drivers of all time, excelling in both distance and accuracy for a wide range of golfers.

“

The Ping G2 Driver is for those seeking a classic feel with surprising forgiveness. While definitely not the latest and greatest, it's a sleeper for golfers who prioritize control over raw distance. The G2 has a forged titanium face and is known for its crisp feel at impact, and it provides more feedback than some modern drivers. It won't be the longest driver out there, and won't have fancy adjustability features. But for golfers who value a timeless design that still holds its own, the Ping G2 Driver is a great option, especially at the used prices you can find these days.
