The 2017 DeMarini CF Zen Composite is a USSSA certified bat designed for youth baseball with a 31-inch length and 26-ounce weight, resulting in a -5 drop. It features a composite barrel measuring 2 5/8 inches, which combines lightweight construction with durability and a balanced feel. This design helps reduce vibration on mishits, improving comfort and control at the plate. The bat's length and drop provide a manageable swing speed while maintaining solid power potential. This bat is best suited for kid pitch players aged 9 to 13 years old who are transitioning into heavier bats but still need a controllable swing. The -5 drop is standard for many youth leagues, allowing for legal play while offering a balance of speed and power appropriate for this age group and skill level. Being USSSA certified, it meets the requirements for competitive youth leagues using this standard. This bat is sold used.

Perfect bat for:

Hitters hunting a used two-piece composite with a fast swing and a known hot barrel.

The DeMarini CF Zen is a discontinued two-piece composite bat with a fast, balanced swing. DeMarini used the CF Zen name from 2017 to 2021, then shortened it to CF. A Paraflex Plus composite barrel gives a large, responsive sweet spot. A 3-Fusion connection cuts vibration and sends energy back to the barrel. Early CF Zens hit hot but cracked, so DeMarini stiffened later ones.
