Longevity

The Mizuno PowerClose baseball glove is an affordable option which features a full-grain pigskin leather construction. This glove offers a balance of durability and a comfortable feel that won't hinder a young player's enjoyment of the game. The key feature is Mizuno's PowerClose technology. This design incorporates a wider hinge and strategically placed closure points to assist young athletes in securely closing the glove, which fosters confidence and reduces frustration as they develop their fielding skills. Additionally, Mizuno equips these gloves with a ButterSoft palm liner for enhanced comfort, MZO lining to wick away moisture, and an AirMesh back for breathability, keeping a young player's hand cool and comfortable.

“

For young players just starting out, the Mizuno Prospect PowerClose is a fantastic first glove. It's like training wheels for catching. The PowerClose tech helps cradle the ball, so beginners can focus on catching instead of wrestling with the glove. It comes in sizes perfect for little leaguers, and the price is right too. Mizuno is a giant in the baseball world, and they know how to make quality leather that's durable enough to last through those early growing seasons. Down the line, your young player will need to upgrade to a non-PowerClose model, but for getting started, this glove is a winner.
