Gold Stock Wood Composite

# Baum Gold Stock Baseball Bat

Baum’s wood bats are justifiably well-known for their composite technology. The Gold Stock model is the premium composite option within Baum’s lineup, featuring advanced materials designed to improve player performance while also adhering to the standards of wood bat leagues and tournaments. The Gold Stock rigorously mimics the feel of traditional wood bats without sacrificing the longevity and durability provided by modern composite materials.

Since their debut in 1993, Baum has successfully blended the classic aesthetics and feel of wood bats with the unmatched resilience of composite technology. The result offers a consistent, high-quality experience at the plate—and a competitive edge for serious athletes.

**Perfect bat for:** High school, collegiate, and professional athletes who value the traditional feel of a wood bat but require the resilience and consistent performance of composite technology.

###
Key features include:

* **Advanced Composite Wood Construction:** Ensures durability far beyond traditional wood bats, facilitating intense training and competition schedules.
**BBCOR Certification:** Makes these bats a viable choice for high school and college players, adhering to league regulations.
* **Consistent Performance:** Engineered for a uniform, balanced feel that promotes a smooth swing and precise control.
* **Natural Wood Bat Aesthetics:** Offers players the classic look and feel of a wood bat with the advantages of composite technology.
**Large Sweet Spot:** Designed to enhance contact, power, and accuracy, increasing a player's confidence at the plate.
* **Ambidextrous Design:** The Baum Gold Stock can be hit from any angle without risk of damage, unlike traditional wood bats, extending its usable life.

### Top competitors comparison: [Victus V-Cut Maple](https://sidelineswap.com/shop/baseball/bats/brand-victus/v-cut-34/l378387) and the [Mizuno Bamboo Elite](https://sidelineswap.com/shop/baseball/bats/mizuno/bamboo-elite/l60030)

The Baum Gold Stock series sets itself apart from competitors like the Victus V-Cut Maple and the Mizuno Bamboo Elite by merging wood's authentic feel and performance with composite durability. While the Victus and Mizuno models offer specialized designs for power and speed, the Baum Gold Stock's unique composite wood construction delivers notable durability and a balanced swing weight. This makes it an ideal choice for heavy hitters and frequent players who require a high-performance bat that withstands the test of time and intense usage.

### Progression of Baum Gold Stock Baseball Bat

Specific annual iterations like those common in metal or composite bat lines are not as explicitly defined for models like the Gold Stock, given the nature of wood and composite wood bat manufacturing and regulation.

### What people are saying (edited for clarity and brevity)

**PROS**

* The bat is solid and well-balanced, with a flared knob that feels good in the hands. Thanks to its +/- sweet spot, the ball jumps off the bat.
* My son used a Baum Gold bat for years in select ball and in college. The bat lasted for 7 years of playing year-round baseball. These bats have fantastic pop, you can hear it off the bat. He hit just under 600 for the tournament.
* Bought Gold stock for 16-year-old son on coaches' recommendation (former MLB players). Broke other brands' wood bats in 30 days hitting machine balls. Coaches suggested Baum bat.

**CONS**

* Two Baum bats broke during early spring games as the outer shell deteriorated, possibly due to the cold.
* The bat I received had several "air bubbles" in the paint. Additionally, there was a smooth and flat spot where the serial number is located. However, considering the price I paid, I expected better quality control."
* We had a chip come off the end cap where it meets the barrel, and we'll send it back before the warranty expires to get it fixed.

### **Certification**: BBCOR

### Expert Notes ([Tony](https://sidelineswap.com/locker/batexperts))

The Baum Gold Stock is a specialty wood bat made of maple. It has a very high-performance design for a player who uses wood a lot. It features the max legal BBCOR barrel size of around 2.5 inches. It's a bat that is often used for winter training or summer ball. The Bomb Gold Stock is durable and will last you forever.
