Bauer Vapor Velocity ice hockey skates in almost brand new condition, size Senior 8D (FIT1). These skates have 3-4 practices and one game of use in total but I was gifted Hyperlites so these have almost no wear on them - maybe a total of 5-7 hours of skating on them. As you can see from the photos, they are basically brand new. LightSpeed Edge tuuk included with LS2 steel blade also essentially brand new (even sharpened at 1/2" recently and still sharp). Specifications from Bauer: Boot Construction & Stiffness Profile The X Velocity features Bauer’s 3D Lasted Flex Composite material. This material has allowed Bauer to reduce the overall weight of the boot by about 60 grams. In addition, because this boot is Flex Composite, it will be slightly softer than the 3D lasted Pro Curv Carbon Composite that comes on the X Shift Pro. This Flex Composite material is used to provide good stability while still allowing great ankle flexion. The top of the boot is lined with Comfort Edge Padding to reduce bite when performing stops and aggressive tight turns. Liner & Internal Padding The X Velocity is designed with a focus on comfort and reduced break-in time. It features a 1 piece sublimated liner and memory foam ankle pads. The sublimated liner provides great comfort while wicking away moisture as you sweat. The boot is also designed with a Comfort Edge lined along the top of the boot to stop bites when performing stops and quick turns. Asymmetrical Toe Cap The X Velocity features an asymmetrical toe cap. This new toe cap has been revolutionized to reduce the negative space which results in a better fit. It also generates more power with every push stride. Bauer designed this toe cap based on the data collected from over 400,000 scans from the Bauer 3D scanner. Tongue Bauer has styled its X Velocity tongue to keep the main focus on comfort and performance. The tongue includes a 40 oz Pro Stock felt tongue infused with an injected comfort pad down the middle to offer a balance of performance, support, and great feel. Insoles The X Velocity comes with your standard Form Fit footbed. This insole allows your foot to stay secure to the bed of the boot. It also increases the control and blade contact you have while skating. Steel Runner, Holder & Blade Profile The X Velocity skate is equipped with Tuuk Lightspeed. This upgraded steel is oxidized to provide increased sharpening life and boost the bite you get on your edges. The holder used is the Tuuk Lightspeed Edge with a quick release trigger system.
