The Ping G20 Iron is the ultimate game improvement iron and replaces the successful previous model, G15. Designed for beginner players, the G20 will help players maximize distance and forgiveness while maintaining consistency on shots across the face. The 17-4 stainless steel head is perimeter-weighted and features an extremely thin face for maximum game improvement. All of the weight saved from thinning out the face was re-distributed to the perimeter of the clubhead for increased moment of inertia (MOI) and a high launch trajectory. The Floating Custom Tuning Port in the cavity enhances both sound and feel while also minimizing distance gaps between center and off-center strikes. The Ping G20 irons are the replacement for the G15 irons. They feature a wider sole which adds forgiveness. The clubhead sits well behind the ball at address. Thanks to the extra weight in the sole, the ball flight will be slightly higher than the G15’s. It is one of the best irons for the mid handicapper looking for a quality iron. These game-improvement irons have their own shaft engineered by Ping. The thinner face combined with the CTP port creates faster ball speed, better feel and increased accuracy on shots.

Ping i20 irons are a huge change to the i15’s, with a non-glare satin chrome finish. They feature a new CTP in the back of the head that stabilizes the iron throughout the swing, and the new sole design enhances turf interaction. Look for a smaller head size and new offset, which gives these irons a new look and feel. Shorter irons can be flighted lower and longer irons will stay in the air a little longer for softer landing shots onto the green.

An Undercut Cavity design moves the center of gravity (CG) lower to increase a higher launch trajectory and make it easier to get the ball launched into the air. The Longer Blade lengths impact perimeter weighting in order to increase moment of inertia (MOI) for added forgiveness. The Custom Tuning Port (CTP) is positioned lower in the G30 irons in order to support the face and result in improved consistency and enhanced sound and feel.

With stronger lofts, you will generate an average of 3-7 more yards here with the Ping G30 irons. Superior turf interaction combined with undercut cavities gives these irons easy distance and feel. The short irons launch a bit lower, but spin more so consistency should be your focus here. The face is also slightly thicker, so the feel will be much softer. The mid and long irons are created with maximum distance and forgiveness in mind. All in all, these are very good looking clubs and are fun to play with. They are definitely an upgrade from the G25 irons in terms of sound and feel.

Ping’s G25 irons are extremely forgiving, and this is now Ping’s sixth installment in the stainless steel game-improvement iron series. Much like the G20, these irons are now created with a different topline, sole width and offset than the G20. This maximizes playability. The G25’s sole width becomes narrower as the irons move from 3 iron to PW. You will also notice the custom tuning port lower behind the face. The port is near the sole to help improve your feel of the club. These clubs have a great look and are just all around fun to play with -- we’d recommend them for any player.

The i25 irons are the newer model of the i20’s, with a few advancements. These irons are best suited for more advanced players, but a 10 handicap may get away with using them too. You will find the i25’s feature a bigger cavity, and the soles are wider to help with forgiveness and to get the ball up in the air. You may even hear a hollow sound when you hit them due to the large cavity, but don’t let that throw you off your game. The CTP is lower and less noticeable than it was in the i20’s. These clubs look cleaner and are extremely easy to hit. You will feel very comfortable playing with these.
