Now over four years since its release, the Marucci Cat 8 is still a premiere metal bat for hitters of all styles and ages. The 2019 Marucci Cat 8 offers a new, one piece alloy material from past Cat bats we all know and love, which allows for thinner barrel walls and an expanded sweet spot. Yet, Marucci knew not to tinker with their Cat formula too much, since the Cat 7 is still considered a near-perfect offering for you hitters who crave balance. Aside from the thinner barrel wall, the biggest difference between the Cat 8 and past Cat models is the gorgeous white colorway it comes in (bias alert: the white is a personal favorite of mine). If you consider yourself an alloy bat enthusiast, the 2019 Marucci Cat 8 deserves a spot in your equipment bag.
