On top of the barrel is Mizuno’s new, patented VP Sleeve. This sleeve is going to create more spin on the baseball at the point of impact, ultimately increasing the distances of hits and preventing those promising drives from dying out before they reach the wall. The BBCOR Maxcor bat also has a Dynamic Damper Connection piece that connects the barrel and the tapered handle.
