This 2023 Louisville Slugger Meta One Composite bat is a USSSA certified, 29-inch, -12 drop bat designed for players aged 9 to 13 years. It weighs 17 ounces and features a 2 3/4-inch barrel, making it lightweight and easy to control, which is ideal for beginners in travel ball. My son used this bat during one season when he was nine years old. At that time, he found it to be easy to swing and powerful, even out-hitting some Marucci Cat series bats, which were highly regarded then. The bat was getting better with use but he quickly outgrew the 17-ounce weight, so it has been sitting unused for about two years. The grip is still in good shape, although there is some pine tar residue at the top, visible in the photos. There are no visible cracks, just some surface scratches normal to everyday in and out of the bag and bar racks. Overall, this bat is in used condition and could be a good option for young players looking for a lightweight and responsive bat.
