These are incredibly rare and not sold in stores and are very difficult to find in the secondary market. Background on the jersey: The jersey is NOT a game worn McDavid jersey and it was never prepared for use for Connor McDavid. The jersey was originally customized for Oilers prospect Luke Esposito and purchased directly from the Oilers brand new with tagging and unused. The jersey was professionally stripped by Elite Sportswear (the Oilers jersey customizer) to replace Esposito’s name and number with McDavids name and number along with the “C” patch. Previous Meigray tagging was removed which is used to identify that the jersey is a game worn/game issued. However for the team tagging remains on the jersey which indicates the jersey was originally prepared for set 1 of the 2019/2020 season.
